On this day, September 4, 1998, Google was founded. It is one of the largest companies in the world. Even though, the company was set up earlier, the official release date is September 27 by Larry Page and Sergei Brin.
It all started in 1995 as a research project by the two Ph.D. students at Stanford University. They wanted to explore the mathematical properties of the World Wide Web and understand its link structures.
